Naropa

Contemplative education: Naropa University is the leading institution for contemplative education, a style of learning that combines two of the greatest philosophies of learning in history, in an environment where East meets West and sparks fly!

Academic rigor: Naropa University’s commitment to academic rigor fills out the learning experience and gets national attention; U.S. News reports that “Transfer students say they’ve worked harder at Naropa than at their previous colleges.”

Supportive, close community: Naropa University’s student housing and many student groups bring the undergraduate and graduate communities closer together as students discover that their unique paths intersect, run parallel to and glance off of those of their peers.

Access to city and country: Boulder, Colorado is a small, cultured, outdoorsy city on the doorstep of the Rocky Mountains and in sight of Denver, a major city with all of the usual trappings—major entertainment, government, sports teams and an airport.

Bright awake historical context: Naropa University’s short history has been lively; from innovative, cutting-edge psychology programs to beats and hippies to some of the foremost authorities on Buddhism and Eastern Arts Studies in the United States, Naropa University offers higher education in an unrivaled, bright awake historical context.
